BIOGRAPHY

NORM RAFFISH, CPIM

Norm Raffish is an independent consultant with more than twenty five years of experience in consulting and solution design for software vendors, professional services firms and industry. With an extensive background in manufacturing systems and financial practices, Mr. Raffish's focus had been in the selection and implementation of enterprise software systems, business process analysis and recommendations, activity-based costing, and training. In addition, he has served as a product manager and as a strategic planning manager.

As a consultant, Mr. Raffish has had the opportunity to assist clients in various industries, including high tech and commercial manufacturing, aerospace firms, high-volume manufacturers, and service firms. In addition, as Director of Packaged Solutions for a large ERP provider, Mr. Raffish led a unit that developed consulting solution tools that provided customers with rapid payback at a fixed price and fixed objectives.

Some of Mr. Raffish's specific areas of accomplishment include the:

• Development of a "project assurance" process for enterprise implementations
• Selection of an ERP solution for an aerospace manufacturer
• Redesign of a costing system for a paper manufacturer
• Development of a training program for a demand planning suite
• Procurement process analysis for a defense contractor
• Leading of the launch team for a new suite of ERP software
• Co-authoring of the industry glossary for Activity-Based Manufacturing

Mr. Raffish has taught at California State University's APICS Certification Program and was a founding member of Repetitive Manufacturing SIG. He served both as a working member and then a chairman in the Cost Management System project for the Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing International (CAM-I).

Mr. Raffish has also been a requested speaker at many APICS chapter meetings, presented several papers at the APICS international exhibition and has taught APICS certification courses for several chapters.
